Designed specifically for highly corrosive environments, Mesabi® BOSS® Radiators, manufactured by L&M Radiator, feature an exclusive process in which brass finning is brazed to brass tubes. This minimizes the corrosion potential by eliminating a dissimilar metal solder bond, which can degrade in corrosive environments.
Beyond offshore and marine-specific applications, Mesabi BOSS Radiators are the best solution for underground mining, which often means operating in extremely wet and corrosive conditions. As water seeps through the earth and into tunnels and shafts, it picks up chlorides and other corrosive minerals.
Urban transit applications (city buses) also benefit from L&M Radiator’s exclusive combination of brass brazing on the Mesabi BOSS Radiator, as road salt is equally taxing on traditional soldering mechanisms and applications.
Mesabi BOSS Radiators feature a mild steel framework specially designed for highly corrosive environments and can be further customized with epoxy paints that seal up the framework. Mesabi BOSS Radiators are available in stainless steel options, too.
L&M’s exclusive design ensures that Mesabi BOSS Coolers can be quickly and simply returned to service if damaged or in need of regular maintenance. Held in headers with flexible, fluorocarbon rubber seals, individual tubes are replaceable in the field and the units can be returned to 100 percent cooling performance capacity. Mesabi cores are easily cleaned externally with high-pressure air or water.
L&M Radiator provides incomparable service to users and OEMs because all service is handled at the manufacturer level. In emergencies, L&M can ship most genuine Mesabi parts within 48 hours. Onsite technical and engineering assistance is available nearly anywhere in the world with a few days’ notice thanks to manufacturing facilities and parts depots in the United States, Mexico, Chile, and Australia.
MESABI® Boss Radiators are covered by the L&M Radiator, Inc. General Warranty along with the following Product Specific Warranty:
L&M Radiator, Inc. warrants MESABI® Boss Radiators against seal leakage during normal operation for 48 months from date of invoice on new coolers.
