Keeping Dirt and Debris Out with First-of-its-Kind, Innovative Design: Mesabi® V-Tube™ Heat Exchangers
The dirtiest of worksite environments are no match for Mesabi V-Tube heat exchangers.
Specifically designed for industries where equipment is subject to heavy amounts of debris, such as forestry, urban transit, waste management, and underground mining, Mesabi V-Tube radiators, charge air coolers and oil coolers feature exclusive clog-resistant passages and a tube configuration that allows for the heaviest of matter — up to one-eighth inch particle size — to better flow through the core, which minimizes clogging. Minimizing clogging is critical to preventing overheating and downtime.
Mesabi V-Tube heat exchangers by L&M Radiator are commonly used on all types of bulldozers and excavators that are constantly moving materials as well as large chippers and tub grinders. These coolers also tame the oil and tar in the asphalt paver industry, another source of clogging.
Exclusively designed with V-shaped finning to maximize debris flow and reduce matter hang-up. Mesabi V-Tube heat exchangers stay clean and move dirt and debris like no other.
L&M’s exclusive design ensures that Mesabi V-Tube heat exchangers can be quickly and simply returned to service if damaged or in need of regular maintenance. Held in headers with flexible, fluorocarbon rubber seals, individual mesabi radiator tubes are replaceable in the field and the units can be returned to 100 percent cooling performance capacity. Mesabi cores are easily cleaned externally with high-pressure air or water.

L&M Radiator, Inc. warrants MESABI® V-Tube™ Radiators against seal leakage during normal operation for 48 months from the date of invoice on new coolers.
